Rescue SCG Team Member Wins CBS’s Amazing Race

Despite the constant attempts to get him to spill the beans, Rescue’s After School Brand Manager, Cheyne Whitney, kept his lips sealed. After mysteriously disappearing for a month-long leave this summer, Cheyne returned to announce that he and his girlfriend, Meghan, had been cast on the 15th season of CBS’ reality show around the world: The Amazing Race. Of course the entire Rescue team wanted juicy details but Cheyne was contractually bound to zip it and did just that.

Like devoted Amazing Race fans around the world, the Rescue SCG team had to tune in every week to watch Cheyne and Meghan race for one million dollars. Unlike the rest of the world, though, we were granted the benefit of discussing each episode with Cheyne the following day and even getting to watch his reaction when the episodes aired live. Through ups and downs Cheyne and Meghan persevered. Jet lag, race cars, waterslides, wasabi bombs, monkey impersonations, dynamite, mud volleyball, Harlem Globetrotters and even Wayne Newton couldn’t hinder the unstoppable force that is Cheyne and Meghan. We even got a taste of what Cheyne went through when he challenged the office to do some wasabi bombs. It’s less fun when a million dollars aren’t at stake!

After it was all said and done, Cheyne and Meghan took first place in 7 of the 12 legs of the race including the final leg, which won them the one million dollar grand prize. Everyone here at Rescue SCG is tremendously proud of our teammate, Cheyne. His dedication, resilience and drive are what make him an integral part of our team – but we could’ve told you that months ago.

Congrats Meghan and Cheyne!
