Approach after school programs as a system, with a communitywide perspective. Ensure that increases in participation also increase the impact of after school programs. Elevate the proportion of high-risk teens that choose to participate in programs. Use after school programs as an opportunity to influence a community’s entire youth culture. These statements reflect Rescue Social Change Group’s work in out-of-school time and after school programs. Our experience in the after school and out-of-school time field is working with system-level change, combining social change strategy with marketing principles to develop approaches that increase program participation, retention, and impact. Through research, community collaborations, and understanding local culture, our team positively changes the way teens grow up in your community.
